Synopsis and Story
The 360 spider was introduced in 2002 and ended its model run in 2005. Alcoa provided Ferrari with an all-aluminum space-frame chassis to provide about 40% greater rigidity in the frame versus the previous 355. The aluminum frame also enabled the car to be lighter, which coupled with the 400 HP flat-plane crank V8 engine yields 0-60 in approximately 4 seconds. The 360 has beautiful curves in its design by Pininfarina, and at the time it was seen as a major departure from the angled and wedge like designs of Ferraris from the 1990’s.
Driven is delighted to offer this superbly maintained example in classic Rosso Corsa / Tan. The original MSRP for this 360 spider was $204,726 which included optional Powered Daytona Style Seats, Front and Rear Challenge Style Grills, Modular Wheels, Scuderia Shields, and color deviated stitching throughout the full leather cabin.
The service history on this car is impeccable. The owner had this beauty cared for by a Ferrari Master Technician over many years. A major service was completed in January 2022 to replace timing belts, tensioners, rollers; cam seals, cam cover gaskets, end plate gaskets; spark plugs; oil filter, air filters, cabin filter; engine oil, gearbox oil; engine coolant; and drive belts for water pump, ac compressor, and power steering. New tires were installed in March of 2021. The soft top hydraulics, both fuel pumps and Optima battery have recently been replaced. The previous major service performed in 2017 included a new clutch. Sticky buttons have been replaced. The Ferrari factory radio has been upgraded to a Bluetooth compatible Panasonic unit (all original radio parts will convey with the car).
