Synopsis and Story
This 2008 Volkswagen R32 was sold new in Indiana and spent time in California, where it was purchased by the current owner in 2015. Subsequent work by HPA Motorsports in British Columbia, Canada, is said to have included modifying the 3.2-liter VR6 with an MK5 turbo kit and DSG Stage 2 ECU flash, a Haldex all-wheel-drive upgrade kit, SHS coilovers, and a dog bone motor mount. Finished in Deep Blue Pearl Effect over Anthracite upholstery, the car is also equipped with a six-speed DSG automatic transaxle, a sunroof, bi-xenon headlights, roof crossbars, 18″ wheels, heated front sport seats, a CD stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Service in preparation for the sale included replacing the headlights, front brake rotors and pads, powder-coating the wheels, flushing the brake fluid, and changing the oil.
The car is finished in Deep Blue Pearl Effect (LB5R) and features bi-xenon headlights, power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals, tinted windows, a glass sunroof, roof crossbars, a rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, and dual central exhaust outlets. The headlights were replaced in preparation for the sale. The selling dealer notes paint chips on the hood.
Black powder-coated 18″ wheels are mounted with 225/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car is equipped with an Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR). Stopping power is provided by slotted disc brakes with HPA Motorsports six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers in addition to Ferodo front brake pads and Mk5 floating front rotors. SHS coilovers are said to have been installed in 2015. The brake fluid was flushed in August 2023.
